Brow Lift

The eyebrows are an integral part of the face and a heavy, sagging brow contributes to periorbital and facial aging by causing hooding of the upper eyelids. Through modern techniques utilizing temporal and anterior scalp incisions which are hidden behind the hairline, a natural, more youthful and alert appearance is possible.
A BROW LIFT CAN:

  • Restore the position of brows that have lowered over time

  • Help correct moderately loose eyelid tissues

  • Create a more positive, energetic, and youthful appearance

Brow lifts are often performed in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), facelift, necklift and chemical peels.

Generally an outpatient procedure, a browlift is most commonly performed under general anesthesia, or local anesthesia with sedation. An overnight stay may be required when combined with other procedures.

Recovery depends on the extent of your browlift, and any accompanying procedures. The upper eyelids can be bruised and swollen for one to two weeks following surgery. You may engage in light activity the day after your surgery; a return to more normal activity may take 1-2 weeks. Your appearance will gradually refine over the following 6-8 weeks. Proper skincare and sun protection are essential during healing and to maintain your results.
